Newport
Last summer Julianne won a family pack of tickets to the Newport Aquarium. Ever since, we've been looking for a good weekend to go, and we finally found it! We spent the night at a wonderful condo and had a great time playing around and having some good family fun. This was the view from our balcony.
On Sunday we visited the Aquarium. What fun! Lots of cool sea critters to see, and even some we could touch.
Before leaving Newport, we stopped at a really cool 50's style diner for some ice cream. While we were waiting for our order, Caleb showed his stuff!
On our way home we stopped at Cape Perpetua so Marie could experience one of the most beautiful viewpoints on the Oregon coast. It's well worth the time it takes to drive to the top of the mountain.

I can't really tell, but it may be that....could it be that.....oh my goodness is it true that.....no, it surely CAN'T be that my brother is wearing an OREGON STATE shirt......maybe I'm reading it wrong (and I really hope I am).....and right after they beat UNC in the College World Series......rue the day! :) Love you anyway....there's no accounting for taste. I guess when in Rome, do as the Romans do, huh? I do love that Carolina blue sky in the background, though. :)
