Another chess tournament

Julianne and Caleb both participated in a chess tournament at the middle school today. It was only for students from Coquille, but since it allowed kids to miss class, they had a good turnout. They both did well, and Caleb walked away with 1st place in the 4th grade division, while Julianne took 2nd among the 6th graders. The only bad part of the whole thing was that we gave Betsy free reign of the house while we were gone, and returned to find she'd chewed the Christmas lights around the window into pieces.
