Homecoming

Last night Marie went to Homecoming with Simon, another AYUSA student that lives in Coos Bay. Her dress was beautiful, she wore just a touch of make-up (she normally wears none) and she looked absolutely stunning.

I dropped her off at Simon's house. She and Simon doubled with Simon's host brother and his date. They went to Benetti's (my favorite!) for dinner before the dance. Menus are always hard for Marie to understand, but fortunately Benetti's menu is on their website, so we went through it with Marie earlier in the day and explained the menu items to help her decide what she wanted.



There was no sense making two trips into Coos Bay, so after dropping Marie off, I went to see a movie (Flightplan). After that, I went to the radio station and worked for a couple hours until it was time to pick Marie up from the dance. She had a wonderful time at her very first American dance. It was nice that several of the other AYUSA students were there, including her best friend, Essie.

Next week is Coquille's homecoming, so we'll go through this whole thing all over again!
