It's sinking in

Caleb was already in bed last night when I downloaded the picture of him and Pedro from my camera and added it to my blog. This morning I showed him the picture (which I've saved as my computer's desktop wallpaper) and he said, "I didn't really want to stick out my tongue like a Brazilian, because I know in this country it's rude."

It's nice to know that some of the things we teach him are sinking in.

"Some of the things?" Kari, one of these days years from now you'll see that a lot more than you realize is "sinking in". I have a 38 year old son that is proving to me regularly that he did let "some of the things" we tried to teach him sink in. You and that same 38 year old need to feel mighty good about what you are doing. You both have a great deal of proud days ahead of you. Cherish them all.
We love you all dearly.
